Who I am?
I'm a 3D artist specialized in props and environments, but I'm a bit generalist.
My Workflow
I modeled my Minotaur entirely in Blender. First, i created my own concepts and gathered references. I stared by modeling the body with a proper topology to make sculpt easier later. Once i got the right body shape, I continue with the head. For this part, I began with a bit of sculpting to establish the proprtions, and then I retopologized it to have a good polygon's density.
Whit this workflow i combined blocking and retopology in single step. Next, i made the UV, using UDIMS, each set to in 4k.
My next step was bring it to Substance Painter to texturized it in a stylized way. After a 4h of painting i returned my model in Blender and rigged it to create some poses. Initially, i have two poses, but one of them somehow disappeared, even though i'd animated :( , so only left the T pose and another pose remained.
For the render i used Marmoset Toolbag 4 and i started to play with the light and compositing, my firts idea was made a little cave, but at this time, I was feeling a bit lazy, so I decided to focus in the lights instead. This is the results.
I really enjoy a lot doing this project. It had been a long time since i had modeled a character or creature from start to finish. I was a quite challenged.
